UVA's Accelerated Master’s Degree Program in Systems Engineering is a hands-on, practical program that builds problem-solving and analytical skills.The Accelerated Master’s Program (AMP) in Systems Engineering is a rigorous one-year degree program designed for the working professional looking to pursue a graduate degree while continuing to advance their career.
The program develops analytical decision-makers who can address problems through a strategic lens. With a strong emphasis on systems thinking, AMP prepares students to analyze complex challenges and implement effective, real-world solutions. The systems thinking approach upon which AMP is founded can be applied across a wide range of industries, including technology, government, finance, healthcare, and defense.
Conveniently hosted in Northern Virginia, this program follows a cohort model, fostering collaboration and professional relationships and supported by a strong AMP alumni network built over more than 20 years. All courses are taught in person by full-time UVA instructors delivering the same curriculum offered on Grounds.
