Thomas Ward
About
Dr. Ward received a B.S. (1998) in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology with a minor in Applied Mathematics, M.S. (2001) in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and Ph.D. (2003) in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara. He worked in postdoctoral researcher positions at Harvard University from 2001-2003 in the School of Engineering and Applied Science, and at the University of California, Los Angeles from 2003-2005 in the Math department. Prior to joining UVA, he served in the Aerospace Engineering department at Iowa State University. His research efforts have been supported by NSF, AFOSR, AFRL and DARPA, among others.
